Accurate assessment of geologic controls on stability is fundamental to successful mine planning and design. We are experts in geologic data collection and interpretation as applied to geotechnical projects. We also provide geologic services in other areas including exploration.
Our geology services include:
- Data Collection - planning, implementation, and management of drilling and surface mapping campaigns
- Geologic Interpretation - structural, stratigraphic, lithologic, and facies interpretation in two- and three-dimensions
- Modeling - CNI has extensive experience in construction and interpretation of 3D geologic and geomechanical models in support of open pit mine design, prediction of ground conditions, and mining method selection
- Analytics - reduction, statistical analysis, and characterization of geologic, geomechanical, hydrologic, and fracture frequency and orientation data
- Software Development - custom-made applications for digital data collection, quality assessment, and database management
- Training – education of mine staffs in geologic data collection, interpretation, and modeling
CNI’s staff includes industry professionals with experience in greenfields exploration and active mining operations all over the world. Our team consists of:
- Project geologists - experienced geologists responsible for interpretation, modeling, and training mine technicians and geologists
- Field Technicians - trained technicians and junior geologists responsible for core logging, sampling, and geotechnical mapping
